CLUMC is active in supporting UMCOR with health and hygiene kits for use around the world.

Financial resources given to UMCOR in response to human-made and natural disasters go directly to the work of recovery where need is greatest in the US and around the world. By going to the UMCOR Giving Website, you can choose to give to the greatest need, certain areas and disasters,  or set up a recurring gift!

Solar Oven Partners (SOP) is a United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) project that works to place solar ovens in the hands of the poor in  the Dominican Republic and Sierra Leone. If you would like more information, or to contact or support SOP, you can do so directly here.

CLUMC sends Christmas Shoe Boxes to Tree of Life, a United Methodist relief agency on the Rosebud Indian Reservation. Learn more.

CLUMC raises funds for Love, INC.'s Clothe-A-Kid each year. Love, Inc. provides financial, nutrition, and parenting classes to those in need; Caregivers of children can complete courses to earn vouchers to then purchase needed supplies for their children to have for school.  Learn more about Love, INC here.

CLUMC volunteers often serve at Feeding SD, a large food bank in Rapid City. We donate food and help sort food and pack for children's backpacks. Learn more or give to Feeding South Dakota here.

CLUMC brings Bibles to the jail and visits with prisoners.  

Canyon Lakers support WAVI (Working Against Violence, Inc) supplying items to women and families who have experienced domestic violence. We especially love to help with Mommy's Closet.   Learn more.

Founded in 1972 by a core group of seven churches (including CLUMC), Church Response continues to help the elderly and working poor stretch scarce resources. We donate non-perishable food, paper, and household products. 

CLUMC is a huge supporter of children in local schools. In years past, the church adopted Canyon Lake Elementary. With the school's closing, our love and focus and found a new home at Meadowbrook Elementary. We help provide needed supplies at the request of the staff so all students can achieve their full potential!
