UMCOR

UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, unites our hearts and hands to bring recovery and new hope to people around the world and in the United States. In fact UMCOR's work in domestic disasters was born right here in response to the 1972 Rapid City flood. This summer UMCOR sent disaster funds to help recovery in Wessington Springs, SD and flooded areas in the Sioux River Valley.

Many of us make a monthly offering or give to special UMCOR appeals during major natural and man-made disasters. Through One Great Hour of Sharing every dollar of every other gift goes directly to helping people.  When first responders and the press go home, UMCOR stays through recovery efforts, helping communities and families rebuild lives.

We offer hands-on help by building hundreds of UMCOR health, school, birthing, sewing, and layette kits each year.

Learn here what supplies are needed. Bring  your donated items to the mission cart in the parlor anytime.

UMCOR cooperates with Church World Service in many places around the world. At CLUMC we blanket the world with an annual love offering.
